With election season in INDIA the above question has become more and more relevant. I personally think election as the biggest joke one can perform in this country .where winning or losing depends how you play the caste and the religion game, where communalism and castism rule the roost and most importantly where effectively all candidates have charge sheets bigger than the Indian constitution and combined black money more than the GDP of the country (current estimates put to be a whopping Rs.2,50,000 crores total in several Swiss bank accounts) I find it really difficult to select people who don’t give rats ass about the country……One might argue that India has made tremendous progress in the past decade but so has the rest of the world, people fail to understand that the wealth has reached only a selected few… and development is not the result of politicians putting any effort
India is still reeling under extreme poverty with 50 % of its kids malnourished. (In terms of sheer quantity we have the largest size of the undernourished....) on the other hand politicians in our country are trying to siphon off as much wealth as possible and retaining it as if it were sacrilegious …how in the hell is INDIA shining if we have idiots managing us…. We live in the largest pseudo democratic country where people with all the power are people with money… Let’s take the example of Satyendra Dubey, an IITian who decide stay back in India when he had job offers abroad and look what that got him, a free ticket to heaven for blowing the whistle on one of the innumerable scams happening in our country.
As we all know the list can be endless and this can only change if we have a revolution …… where people wake from infighting, casteism and ignorance and do away with the current bunch of losers we have by simply refusing to vote and encouraging new vibrant parties which doesn’t try to win elections on the basis of religion and caste…
